Got a cheap used Millett scope today for my 10/22 when I got it home I sat it on my bench and realized the end is bent down about 1/8".

You can still see through it, but do you think it's useable?

If you can return it then by all means just do that. I assumed buying used you were stuck with it either way
I might be, guess I should say I'll TRY to return it lol.

Shitty part is I ordered a 20moa base too. Still broke from my last build so no scope for a while.

wow, without thinking about it really, i would think you'd have trouble zeroing it without a -80 moa rail or something. :p
well I only ordered a 20, so fuck me. We need a middle finger like button option🤣

Never know it may work just fine. But if you have any chance at returning it would be ASAP
Agreed. I was just holding out a little hope. Haven't shot this thing in a year or so haha

I have a 4-16 Viper, but it's on my AR at the moment. I need more scopes pretty badly I've been juggling them around.

I would almost bet, IF it's bent bad enough, gas would leak and it would fog up when there was any temp./atmospheric changes. Back in the day, I had an old Weaver 4x that did it after a horse stepped (long story, short) on it and it only got a ding in it. I'm sure, scopes today are manuf. much better tho. Mac

Shoot, I saw AK Mike and thought you were in Alaska, I was gonna tell you if you go to Talkeenta, to the Upper Susitna range, go to the 1000 yard line, on the left side in the woods there is a Millet Scope.

We tossed one in there about 4 years ago, I know it's not bent, probably works the same though.

Any of y'all in Alaska, I need a favor? Haha.

Man I don't want a millett but it was $50 and good enough for my 22. It was the older 4-16x56 with the covered turrets, glass wasn't terrible for the price. I talked them into letting me return it, only had 24hrs to do it so I couldn't test it.

Looks like the rifle is going back in the safe for a while until I can find something. Wouldn't be so bad but I'm saving for a new gun safe and a new scope for my "PRS" rifle.

Can you get a hammer and give it a little love?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As it was a Millett, I thought about it. Had one there I could have used.

After I posted I gave it a little love tap on my bench just to see if it would fall apart. Wasn't going to screw it up anymore than it was already🤣

It looks to me like the eyepiece is the only thing that got affected. I should think that if our eyepiece shows you the image at the rear end of the erector tube, you should be good to go. The elevation range and setting should not be affected since that's all in the main tube itself. Have you tried to straighten out the eyepiece itself?

Yeah it wouldn't budge, I was going to break it if I didn't stop
