Fixing low flow toilets

Since we are all living with Common Sense Water conserving shitters... I was wondering about raising the water level in a toilet.... It looks like I have about 2" between the top of my overflow tube and the hole in the toilet tank for the handle....

I guess I need to calculate the volume of water if I were to raise the overflow tube by 1 1/2".

If buying new you can get toilets with 2 flush buttons. Number 2 flushes a lot more water

Fill a homer bucket in the tub and flush with that. If married this may not work.

I remember seeing those for the first time in Europe about 25 years ago. Glad to see that the idea has finally made it over here.
