Lazy corrupt USPS

I sent a money order Oct 5th to this dude that lives less than 3 hours away and he still has not received it and I also still need that 1k 45acp Winchester brass lol. USPS is BS right now.

USPS management made deals with devil when it came to Amazon and eBay and ever since then, their service for everybody else has sucked.
The actual mail carriers are run ragged and made to work tons of overtime and weekends etc. to deliver the packages for Amazon while everything else has to fit into as they have space.

It's a long list of problems, starting with greedy congress critters and such, but it's the result of forcing a service setup mostly for letters and small letter size stuff, to be a package delivery company, but without investing in the equipment, vehicles or personnel to make it work & getting paid below cost by the "big" guys and hoping to subsidize it on the back side by charging more for worse service to others.

I mailed my dad a couple cutters off of a boar that I killed...sent them in a USPS priority envelope.

4 days later, dad gets the envelope still perfectly sealed...but it is completely empty.

Somebody at the postal service has figured out how to get into stuff.

Honestly I have some stuff I’ve been thinking of selling on here to fund other items. But I’m hesitant right now. I really don’t want someone thinking I scammed them. Then of course they’ll go to the mods here and that doesn’t work out for anybody

Ship it UPS. I 100% regret not doing that now.

I find it funny that a new Bridgestone Blizzak I ordered from Amazon, took much less time to arrive at my door via USPS, than its new factory Aluminum wheel did, shipped from GM to me via UPS. My USPS postman often works seven days per week since the Kung Flu started, and his “brothers” figured out they could get a bad dose of the Blue Flu and still get paid to sit on their asses. This guy has over 30 years of superb service to his credit, yet he works while the millennial punks cry Wolf. Sounds like just another dose of union mentality 🤮

I shit you not,

When this covid stuff started I bought a NF ATACR from the px here. Shipped UPS (yes the big brown trucks) the guy left my NF at the end of my driveway, dead end road with 4 houses past me, on my plastic garbage can next to my mailbox!

This is on the road about 70 yards from my house. I watched him drop it there in a plastic wrapped bag. I couldn’t believe it. Had to be a new guy or something because my normal guy sets the stuff in my garage or by my door and covers with snow shovel to prevent weather damage etc

Never had an issue with them but between usps, ups and fedex, UPS takes the trophy for the dumbest, window licking, stick my dick in a light socket, shit headed move I’ve ever seen.

I never reported it and never had anything close to that happen again

I ordered a set of Aadmount scope covers from Jon and he shipped them USPS on 09 DEC. They went from WA to NH (I'm in AL) and arrived there on 12 DEC. Tracking went cold there and there's still no trace of them since.

My wife ordered a present for our niece and it shipped FedEx. They showed it delivered TO OUR DOOR on 11 DEC. It was not - we live back in the woods down a 1/2 mile drive with no one else around and no way anyone could have swiped it. Also, FedEx screws up deliveries on a regular basis to our office. Never seem to have any problems with UPS. FedEx drivers in our area also seem to have a HUGE attitude problem and a severe aversion to doing their job. UPS drivers here are cheerful, competent, and very accommodating.

I stopped sending any bills via the mail unless I have to. I ordered a small magnet for my wife from a town over and after three weeks of not getting it I just drove over and got a new one.

UPS is the only one performing reliably in my AO right now. Fed Ex is doing ok for outbound, but horrid on anything inbound to me.

For example I traded a member here a case of Berger 6.5C 140 for a case of Berger 130C. I asked him to ship to me via UPS & he did not have a preference so I shipped Fed Ex. Both were shipped ground insured full value.
The race was on, both shipped Wed 12/16 CO - MD for UPS & the reverse for Fed Ex. UPS delivered mine 12/18 & Fed Ex delivered his in CO on 12/21.

Current USPS Fuckstick example.

My order from optics trade made it from Slovenia, went through outbound customs, & US customs in 7 days.

Left NY USPS 12/10 & disappeared into the USPS ether net! Below tracking is what I just checked. 14 days NY-MD a 5 hr drive & still nothing!

I could type pages of recent USPS & Fed Ex fuckery!!

At this point you’re probably better off getting on a plane and picking up high end items yourself.
A dude bought a scope off me and I was dumb enough to listen to the USPS lady that said priority mail would be gtg but ground is unreliable. The guy still hasn't received the scope and I feel like an asshole. 2 day shipping and will be going on two weeks now.

Yeah they delivered a box of 50 cal brass a week late that had 20 of the 200 pieces left in it that had been smashed so many times it was a card board bag with a softball sized hole in the said.... and they didn’t think it was a problem??

You wouldn't believe the way shit was sent out at Amazon. They figure people will either accept it or return it. I had to argue with my floor manager about not sending books that were completely dilapidated from water....ridiculous.

Yeah back when I ordered stuff from them I would get totally broken stuff that had been carefully bubble wrapped after it was already broke and they would send it to me..... I try not to deal with them any more

They have some good people there but they are under constant stress dealing with that kind of volume. A classic example of quantity over quality.

Back in March, I ordered a few parts for my truck. One that was absolutely needed to make it run again was delayed for so long, the company i ordered from sent another via UPS. I got it in like 2 days. Well over a month later, the original part arrived. I returned it.
Just about 2 weeks ago, I ordered intake gaskets for my Jeep. They estimated delivery on Monday, December 21. When it the package didn't arrive, I checked the tracking. It hadn't even been picked up by USPS. I reordered and specified FEDEX (I would rather use UPS) and I got the stuff today. USPS tracking shows the other order as "in transit".
I will not choose USPS to deliver ANYTHING, EVER, again.
Assholes.

Ordered a drag bag from the group buy section of the px — shipped from beverly hills to NJ
Zig zagged across the county, tracking updates daily till NJ then tracking stopped — after about 10 days tracking picked up again, fedex decided to send it back to CA, made it all the way to the original fedex location where it was shipped from — then back to NJ again — almost a full month and I figure had to be close to 10,000 miles before it finally got here — adult signature required, off course they left it in the driveway

Ordered a scope on the Midway deal Monday afternoon, got delivered this am, and believe me when I say I live miles from a small town on a long dirt road.
Yes, I paid the extra 13 bucks for UPS only delivery.
USPS is representative of our government, which is now just another corrupt shit hole.

While this does appear worse than normal, it is the holiday season so it's kinda expected. Coupled with the lockdown, online shopping has gone up 2x if not 3x. With the USPS being subpar to begin with, it's not surprising that they are performing poorly.
