We are the only country on earth where you can start a business selling books from your garage, to end up being the richest man in the world....on paper at least.

One thing you also have to look at is inflation, the dollar is worth 1/2 of what it was worth in 1990.....1/2!

It's easy to be a billionaire when the dollar is worth peanuts.

Ide be interested to see the world wealth map when their value is converted into a fairly universal hard currency like gold

Our murderous moronic governor Cumhole took $700 million taxpayer dollars and built them a gigantic factory, which at least check hasnt hired enough people to operate a fast food restaurant. The only bright spot was governor Cumhole was able to line the pockets of his corrupt supporters with the lucrative construction contracts, so all is not lost. Quite certain his untraceable kickbacks closed that financial loop nicely.

IMO he didn’t have to bully local governments, he just provided them the option of a) giving Amazon tax breaks to build in their city, or b) not giving tax breaks and risk “losing out”. Too many local governments were all to happy to compete for Amazon and their $15/hr jobs.

ETA that I agree our small business(es) don’t have the same appeal to local government.
