I made bacon this evening and put it in soup. Bacon cheeseburger soup with potatoes. Is awesome.

Yeah the wife tried to sneak it onto my plate. Smell was off, taste.... forget about it.
I can vouch for that. It's not even close. I haven't found any substitute for bacon.

What's worse, if you look at the nutritional info on turkey bacon and then compare it to real bacon, there's little difference and not a reason to stop consuming regular bacon. Turkey bacon is only good for people who like turkey bacon. Which is NOT me.
