Powder?

There was just a post about a big powder drop at a couple of the larger outlets. Graf, and one other I can't remember. Unfortunately with everyone running in the scarcity mindset it probably all got snatched up within minutes
Yeah I heard, and missed out because I cant sit on computer all day. But thanks for the reply

Most of us can't sit on a computer all day either. But, we can check the major websites on work breaks, lunch, in the middle of the night when we get up to pee, etc. I've ordered stuff at 4am because I couldn't sleep or whatever, so I randomly checked a few websites, and they had in stock things I needed. Go to gun shows, talk to people at the range, check the trading threads for your area (on Snipershide), put out a WTB notice, set email notifications for items you want, etc. Be proactive!

Thanks for the advice! I’ve done some of that too, just bad timing on my part. I’ve had a few opportunities a while back and didn’t “bite” it. Regretfully my fault! Hindsight is 20/20

Here's the deal. The supply is low, demand is ultra high. Prices are increasing as a result.

People are using Bots to purchase these items, then reselling on the secondary market. The only way to fight this is for retailers to put systems in place to stop bots. This is the reality. Every person desperate enough to pay the prices asked only make this worse. Think about that, let it sink in.

Spot on!

Local gun sale sites have powder every day. But going price is 400+ per 8lb jug.

I placed back orders late last year from a major reloading outlet. I had 16 lb deliver yesterday. I have more backorders with them. They stopped accepting backorders a few weeks ago.

well it’s refreshing that you are not bellyaching about it; but seeking solutions.

another “solution”....take up archery while you search/wait for things to calm down.

Find a LGS that is near you, establish a relationship with them. You can call every other day and see when they are getting shipments. I have things setup on my phone to give me notifications when items become in stock. Ive been lucky the last couple months to get majority of what i need that way. That being said the LGS that i usually shop with knows me, and if i call him hes helpful. He will even put powder aside if i call him and cant make it there until the weekend. The effort you put into finding and buying components at this time is directly proportionate to how successful you will be. That might not be an answer that you like, but its the truth. Long gone are the times of going online and finding something in stock and shopping around for the best price. Components are coming in stock quite regularly. The problem is they sell out within minutes. Early bird gets the worm.

Good luck.
