I’m new here. Really need a place to stretch my wings in southern Utah. The Cedar range has its limitations, winter is one. The Hurricane range is only 200 yards.

Just PMd you back and saw this.

Yeah, there's no 1k range here for obvious reasons. Noone would go.

The area I PM'd you is a great spot to find/set up a range and has almost unlimited options. I stay out of the AZ side because I shoot at night as well as seems AZ has decided to start sending their BLM cops out on the AZ Strip area telling you that you now need a permit to camp/ride out there. Not sure what happened but all of a sudden most of that area is 'state trust land' and now they want money; which is a total joke as there's nothing special about it and its surrounded by Utah BLM land. Kind of like charging for a random spot on the beach, surrounded by more beach.

I did see on the map there is a large chunk of the strip off river rd is Az school land. Not sure many know this. One guy told me there are some plates near the power lines out there. I know the spot but never seen the plates. I have my own but so many places it’s a long walk in the desert. I prefer the drive to and set up option. Yes, I’m lazy as the next guy

The range at Cedar was one of the better formal ranges when I was up there. Would go to the far left concrete pad for the 300 yard bay, and shoot out to the 1000 berm.
Other than that I’d think about the flats out by the wind farm north of Milford.
