Noob here...well, noob for anything that isn't a pistol, shotgun, or AR.

Going to develop skills for hunting and fun/recreational steel shooting. Furthest I've shot is 200-250 yards witht the AR.

Trying to not buy anything made in CCP, while also staying midrange for budget.

Current setup:
Tikka T3X Lite 6.5CM
Vortex Viper PST Gen 2, EBR-2D (moa), 3-15x

Planned setup:
Pig saddle....will probably toss the LPVO rifle into here too.
Pig 0311 tripod-----once I graduate in hunting skill, I'll get a lightweight tripod.
...not sure if I'll get a leveling head
maybe GNN XB-44DL Ball Head
...undecided on chassis, but looking at Oryx

and I need to settle on a range finder with illumination, and maybe stabilization (i know that limits options).

Anyway, YOU PEOPLE are smart. Any feedback/advice?

EDIT: i enjoy the trolls and snowflakes, but if anyone has a good non CCP leveling head that's under $200, feel free to help me send my money to that company...or not.

At frist I thought stabilization would be important, so I was looking for stuff like the Nikon Monarch 3000.

The first range finder I grabbed I returned after realizing a black reticle really sucks for low light.

RRS is a bit out of budget for me now, but I know everybody loves them. I was looking at Two Vets initially, but I didnt realize they were all CCP made until recently.
