Yeah, the one got shot in the leg and some head lacerations from getting hit but is ok. Blood, on the other hand, is swiss cheese and fortunately, worm food.
Fat cop with the silly cop laugh took a round in the leg at first when he ran to the driver's side of the cruiser. Then the dumbass hopped around back and reappeared on the passenger side where he proceeded to shoot at the innocent guy in red shorts running away.
Meanwhile, perp who had also been leg shot, followed him around the back of the police cruiser and surprised both deputies and proceeded to beat fat cop over the head with his jammed 'AR15 rifle'.
Second cop administers mag dump on perp and goes and picks up his first full mag he inadvertently dropped.
Innocent guy in the red shorts that fat cop was shooting at walked back to the scene.
Fat cop sustained gunshot wound to the leg and multiple head lacerations.
Thats kind of harsh. Not sure Id do any better in a stressful situation like that. Adrenaline does weird stuff to you. Just glad they survived and the perp is history.
I'm not all onboard with the cop worship this morning after the Chief made a point to generalize the perp's AR pistol into an 'AR15 rifle'. But not surprised either.
Both cops are lucky it jammed. The innocent guy in the red shorts is also lucky and probably didn't know bullets were zipping past him.
I don't see anyone shooting the red shorts runner. Maybe a different video is out there??

At time :50 the officer attempts to return fire and accidentally hits the mag release and loses his magazine. At 1:09, after dumping his mag, you can see him pick up and reload the mag he accidently released. Mag dumps are frowned upon by judges and jury. Tactically he just emptied his weapon leaving him and his partners defenseless, until he retrieved the mag he dropped. This will make a great training video as you couldn't make too may more mistakes.
His response to the judge and jury, 'He was making a move. I had to get it on.'

From the second vid, he calls it a small stocked ar15 style rifle. And yeah, he says it a few times. WTF? Pretty clearly a pistol.
Also don't see any sight s on it. There is however something that comes flying off as he strikes the officer with it at the 7 min mark in the second vid posted.
Looks like a Sightmark-ish EOTech style red dot, can see it on the gun when he comes out of the car. Interestingly no brace, just a buffer tube.
