Hey all, I am currently looking for a good mount which would allow me to quickly "flip" from my PVS14 to a FLIR Breach. I've heard some people are able to even use both at the same time in a sort of "fusion". But most people haven't had success with that.

In either case, what I want to accomplish is to be able to quickly switch between the PVS14 and the Breach.
I am preparing to order a Wendy Exfil LTP 2.0 helmet, along a Wilcox G24 mount. And I am considering the KVC Universal Bridge (if I can find one...) to pair the PVS14 with the Breach. I know this is "doable", although I don't like the locking levers to release the optics back down.... But I'm not sure what/if there are other mounts that would do as good or better. Was looking to see if someone has experience with the KVC Bridge in a similar setup, or suggestions about another mounting solution.

As always, any input is Much Appreciated

Mod Armory d14. Toggle the drop down menu and you can order it with a pvs14 arm and whatever for attaching the breach. We have TW bumps because that's what was in stock at the time and they're fine but if Opscore is in stock I'd go that direction. Arc rails are pretty much the standard and you'll need adapters to run a lot of stuff on the TW rails.

Yeah the proprietary rails on the TW was something I didn't care for, but figured I could live with. Ops Core Helmets, i'll definitely take a look at those.

Looked up and have read about the Mod Armory D14, very interesting mount. Some good features, good reviews and a bit less coin. I think thats the way I'll go with this, seems like a good option for running PVS14/Breach or if I was ever able to get a 2nd PVS14 as well.

Thanks for the suggestions and info!

well, Ops Core is apparently the "must have" helmet... can't find them in stock anywhere... especially an XL black or foliage green :(
emailed one company that "seemed" they might have them in stock, but haven't heard back from them. might look a bit more... and if nothing else just order the wendy, as I really don't want to wait 4 months / 16 weeks...

The Team Wendy are fine. Accessories are just a little more complex. They have adapters for the amp arms now which I'd consider a must have. We have the TW and Agilite covers and the Agilite is a lot better imo. The pads that come with the TW are pretty nice but we ended up doing the 4d pads and they're very comfortable.

Yeah I had looked through a lot of the wendy info and accessories. Didn't know about the 4d pads, will have to look those up. Also good to know about the agilite covers (y)
If I can't find an Ops Core helmet fairly soon, then I will go with a Wendy thats in-stock.

Nice Setup (y) What do you like better - PVS14 + Breach? Or PVS14x2 w/ COTI??
I've heard some pros and cons for both rigs. I wonder if anyone has a PVS14 w/ COTI + Breach setup? I guess you could make that rig lol. Bet it would be a good bit of weight though.

Yeah, been looking at the Mod Armory D14 mounts since GreenMushoom suggested it. I think they have fewer "fidgety moving parts" than the KVC bridge. As well as already being built for PVS14/Breach config. And they have some other pro's too. I'm going to go that route for my PVS14/Breach setup.

Was looking at 4D pads on their website... not sure which one's would be the "correct" set as Wendy helmets doesn't seem to be listed. ACH/MICH RETROFIT PAD KIT??

Yes, thermal monocular + 14 + coti can be a thing ...

Depending on what you are trying to do.

COTI is to enhance shooting with laser (and doesn't require any illum)

Thermal monocular on head is for hands free spotting while moving ...

14 is for seeing laser

If I remember right there's 2 types. Ones Opscore and ones not. You want the not.
Well... here is the Pads page on 4D's website: https://4dtactical.com/products-1
I know its not the hive or the ops core... but not sure about the others. You would think they would just list wendy seeing how many people have them. I got in contact with one small company who may have some Ops Core helmets, but I won't know until tuesday and i doubt they have XL anyway. I'd rather have ops core, especially when I found out wendy apparently went full "anti 2nd"... but I guess i'll take what I can get.

Good points, each have their own strengths for sure. Might get a COTI someday... but can't afford the $ right now

I sent 4D a message and asked them which would be the correct kit. I think the ACH/MICH fits the Wendy, but not sure.

I'm pretty sure these are the ones I have. Select the non Opscore one. They seem to always be listed as out of stock but I've ordered twice and they came in a reasonable amount of time. The TW pads are pretty comfortable so you'll be good until they arive.

My understanding is tnvc had a falling out with TW over TW's politics so I don't think you'll see the TW name on their site anywhere. Don't know about the 4d people but the same probably applies.

Had looked at that exact page, and thought those might be correct. But saw they were back ordered. Might order them anyway since you've gotten yours in a decent time. They even show out of stock on 4D's website.

yeah, have seen individuals who were p'ed off about it too. Also heard that iRay, AGM, and ATN were selling to china too. Can't confirm, just what I heard... not that I doubt many/most companies would or have already done so.

I think the thermal manufacturing is more complicated. My understanding is iray or their parent company makes sensors/cores and these come from China. Bonson and BAE would be the US/EU manufacturers at least for stuff we can afford. Truth is you'd probably be hard pressed to find much these that doesn't at least have something made in China in it.

Companies like Bering make it even more confusing. My understanding is they get sensor/core from china, the screen is either French or Japanese and it's assembled and quality controlled in the US so it's tough to put a made in label on it. A big upside of their method is they have stated to their retailers that their devices are fully serviceable at their US facilities. I haven't seen an example of how this breaks down for companies like iray and pulsar.

yeah, a lot going on with all the garbage happening. In any case, have to buy from what is available these days, no matter where it comes from. As there just isn't much made in US these days, especially from all US made components etc.

The 4d pads for the team Wendy weren’t so simple in my case. I have a 2015ish carbon bump that came with more of a suspension system than pads. I had to remove the entire setup down to bare carbon. The 3/4” 4d pads ended up being way too loose. They’re a great company though and made me a set of 1” at no charge and it’s more comfortable than ever.
I run a photonis wp pvs-14 and an ir patrol. Wp is a big help vs green with eye strain.

agreed, WP is less eye strain for me too. I think it has more to do with the contrast difference between green v/s wp, rather than the color itself. I get migraine headaches too often as it is, don't need any additional.
thanks for the info on the 4d pads. I'd already decided to hold off on the 4d until after I get my wendy helmet, and see how it fits first and then maybe that will give me a better idea of what 4d pads will work best. I did hear back from the company and they sent me links to three different pads that would work with the Exfil LTP in an XL.
Would have liked to have gotten an ops core, but no one has what I wanted in stock... well any XL really. And I don't want to wait 4 months, so I think I'm going to go ahead and order a wendy....

on a side note... why did they name it wendy anyway? was it the name of who started the company? their daughter? or? if not, then why didn't they name it Wyndy or etc... what's next peter pan helmet mounts? anyway, just an odd name to me for this type of products.

The company's owner/founder's daughter fell off a cliff in a skiing accident and passed away after falling into a coma due to head injury. Her name was Wendy.

I was afraid it was something like that if it was named after a person... ☹️
had a tbi 2.5 years ago... I thank the Heavenly Father Yahuah I'm still here.

Did you end up ordering a mount? I have a mod armory setup pvs14/flir breach dovetail mount going to be selling.
I got my Mod Armory D14 a few days ago, with the QD dovetail PVS14 and breach mounts. Just got my Wilcox G24 mount today.
Guess I should have waited a few days

throw my .02 in here. ive had wendy, ops and hhv bumps and by far prefer the hhv for a couple reasons. the retention and chin strap, mlok side rails and the lattice pad are top 3 reasons. i run duals in various combos on a mod armory bridge.
