Hi,

O shit, we have to push the above post with those pics off the current page, lolololol...

So perfect timing for me to ask a question, hahahaha

Just HOW???
How is it that most rifles we see posted on forums and social media appear to have pristine perfectly looking barrels and such? These are just a few barrels from over the past year and half of stuff and the exterior of them look like they are 10 years old, lol and were not treated bad.

Hi,

First Look!!!

So we have been relatively quiet the past couple weeks as we worked through an acceptable nitride process for our receiver parts.
This was not an easy task due to a combination of our chosen alloys and their HRC levels.
We worked diligently with metallurgical engineer and heat treatment facility to develop a low temp nitride process specifically for our parts.

Now time for a soak cleansing.

It’s so interesting watching this design and manufacturing process from afar. It is so far beyond anything I can comprehend that it has a magical quality to me.

I totally agree. If I ever have the budget I will be purchasing a Hoplite. Never in history have we seen a company so open with accomplishments, but also failures, and the accompanying fixes. My hats off to @THEIS and the Hoplite crew. Massive respect.

Is the nitride in place of the Birdsong?

Hi,

It is difficult to showcase the results of real T&E sometimes; especially when that real T&E causing you to go back to the drawing board for a remedy/revision that not only fixes that issue but also to ensure that "fix" does not "interfere" with any of the other design features, etc.

It is super easy for companies to post/market/etc of "Look how great my product is" but the reality of that is the end users do not know how and what was tested and corrected.
End users do not get to see how the company thinks because how a company handles its' own T&E is directly related to how a company will handle customer service and the customer journey.

Sincerely,
Theis

Hi,

Yea it is magical, lol.....It has magically gotten rid of most of my hair; It has magically increased my coffee consumption, It has magically reduced my sleeping time, It has magically worn out a tile floor path, etc, lololol

Hi,

I like that the market space is already "knowledgeable" on nitride even though over 50% of the users call it a "coating", lolol.

Sincerely,
Theis

I remember back in the day when nitrided and tufftided cranks were a thing.

Is nitride superior to birdsong?

Hi,

In some ways, yes.

Biggest benefit for us is we can cerakote the exterior of the nitride receiver to perfectly match the barrel and/or chassis as to where we cannot on the birdsong receiver.
Also nitride allows us to close some clearances and tolerance stacking due to essentially no "growth" of dimensions with nitride.

Theis

I'm going to wind up with one of these, all the bolts, and half a dozen barrels, 3 of them dedicated to solids. I hate myself. :ROFLMAO:

Hi,

We fully intend on showcasing/shooting a 6CM and 300PRC with solids at the upcoming Precision Rifle Expo along with having 300NM and 338LM at the static display.

Track suits. Don’t forget the track suits… 😍
Well I'm working on those boys, problem is Adidas is so behind and won't do a small run.... so any suggestions on where in the US I can contact. I contacted my buddies in the clothing industry here, all China....

Nice, but can you hit anything with it?

Hi,

Silly Rabbit.....not until the scopes arrive :)

People will have their chance to see them in action at the upcoming precision rifle expo and then the private range event we have with Frank the day after the expo.

Sincerely,
Theis

Any better idea on when the first 10 will ship? Deer season approaches.

What other colors are you guys bringing to the EXPO, or leaving it a surprise

Are you considering nitriding the barrels or is the expense to high for a disposable item?
