Hello from Zagreb, Croatia, Europe

I greet all the members of this forum and thank you in advance for understanding my possible clumsy formulations. In addition to croatian and english i also speak fluent german.
I am here because I appreciate the topics and the discourse on this forum the most.
Welcome to the 'hide. Amazing amount to learn here and some very helpful people too. What sort of rifles do you own?

Hopefully your Ammunition price and availability there is better than here in the USA. We are suffering a shortage now. Or at least those of us who have not stockpiled are. If you feel comfortable post some pictures of your rifles. Those Mausers should be some nice ones.

Hello and welcome.

What are the gun regulations like in Croatia? It is a beautiful country and hopefully you can have lots of beautiful guns there as well.
Hello MK20,
thanks for the compliments.
legal regulations are a little stricter than in the rest of the European Union. Without automatic weapons and without silencers. We expect liberalization in those poins as well.

We here in the US wish you luck in the liberalization. For me weapons are easy to buy. I can buy from another person for cash and the government requires no papers or notification. That freedom is amazing. For silencers we have a much more regulated process. We hope for liberalization there but it is unlikely to happen soon.

I visited the united states twice. 2007 and 2011. Both times in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. Have a friend in Saint Paul and the other in Chicago. Both times we come together because of steelhead flyfishing, me as a guest. Guy, the friend from Minnesota is also a hunter hunter,he told me about the gun regulations. It is much simpler than in Croatia. I am also a Reloader so my problems with ammo are less significant. But a lot of components come from the US so there is a shortage on the european market too.

Best friend growing up was Croatian. Always talking about getting into street fights in the summer. Lots of cool ports for boating. Welcome 🙏
Hello Alfmoonspace, thanks for the warm welcome. I am proud of the beauty of my country and Croatia is truly a pearl for boating tourism. There are good opportunities for hunting, big game fishing and flyfishing. Thats wat I like.

Greetings Igor ! From greater Seattle area.

I just retired and my wife and I have been to Crotia numerous times. We are seriously considering becoming mid to long term residents in/around Stari Grad or Korcula. Such beauty and such wonderful people.

Hello Threadcutter308, thanks for Your kind attention. Do You mean Stari Grad on the island of Hvar and Korcula as a second location? Whatever, the locations are beautiful.

Yes, Stari Grad on Hvar. Or, Korcula on the island of Korcula. We cannot decide, we love them both. Maybe 6 months in one location, then 6 months in the other. Possibly even Vela Luka :)
