I just got a set of Area 419 funnels. My first thought was “What the hell did I just do paying $100 for a set of funnels.”
Then I got them and said “why did I wait so long to get a proper set of funnels?”

A few years ago fo Christmas I got the area 419 funnel.
Very functional luxury, it’s quite nice!
The satern funnels are pretty decent as well

I've used Satern funnels and they have worked perfectly for me!
I am having good luck with Satern aluminum powder funnels.
The set from Lyman is top quality at a reasonable price. The fit and finish is terrific ... never lost a single flake of powder.

I've got the Lyman kit and while it is well made, fit/finish is great, inserts are great, the funnel itself feels a little thick and top heavy to sit one the brass. Works great, but if it dropped some material from the funnel itself I think it would be better
I use the MK Machining funnel. Very functional and reasonable cost. It is made from antistatic material and even fine powders don't stick to it.
Picked up an area419 complete set from a prize table. I've gotten far more expensive prizes but still consider the funnel set as my greatest pull. I'd easily pay the cost if I had to again.
Area 419. The design makes powder flow amazingly. Caliber specific heads prevent spillage on tipping.
Considering the machine time and anodizing, it is priced very well at $100.

I had a few plactic rcbs funnels that I customized with a chainsaw file and drill to be able to drop big loads of powder in 338LM.
I broke down and bought the area419 kit during blackfriday this year. So far I'm loving it. It still clogs up if I dump n570 too fast into my 300NM with a drop tube attached though. So I can't say it's flawless.

Every toilet can clog from those gigantic N570 turds if your technique is rushed and sloppy.
Area419 kit. Before that just some plastic thing and a static cling sheet to wipe it with. Lol. The area419 is certainly worth it and a drop tube on the side
If money is no object: probably 419 set. I have the lyman set. It's very nice. I did cut the handle off the funnel so it balances better; came out nice.
Saturn is not a bad choice either: doesn't have that quality feel of the lyman or the 419, but functionally good. The plastic ones work, but not as nice.

Since you’re changing your current setup, if you can wait for Black Friday they usually have the Master Kit on sale, which takes some sting out of the cost.
I do most of my loading on a Dillon XL650, and I’ve found the Dillon powder die adapter+drop tube extremely convenient for precision rifle loading.

It's great for anything other than large powder die cartridges like 300wsm. If they did an adapter for those it would be perfect.
I actually wasn’t aware that wouldn’t work. Don’t own any magnum/short mag calibers as they’re not much use here in N. IL.
I bought the Lyman set from a fellow member and was very impressed with the quality and overall function. I have not used the Area419 but wanted for a long time. After using the Lyman kit I will say that the itch has been scratched and will only look to buy the Area 419 kit if its almost give away pricing. I would then pass the Lyman along to someone else as their 1st funnel upgrade.
I made a drop tube that fits the Lyman, cut the tab off and turned it down some. Very nice for the price and effort.
Been using Lyman Brass Smith Pro funnel system now for a couple years without any issues. I'll admit the Area 419 looks tempting...
I think mine are Satern. They are aluminum with brass fittings. The only problem I've had with them was one funnel would catch small ball powders. It was fixed in about 5 minutes using some fine sandpaper. It was a once and done thing. By comparison fighting static with other types was a constant problem. With the ones I use now I would definitely recommend them.
I used some RCBS ones for a long time. Stumbled across the Area 419 set at a local store about a year ago and they had it marked on clearance for $50. Walked around and pondered it for about 30 minutes before finally deciding that if I didn't think it was worth it, I could probably sell it here and get the $50 back. I would pay $100 if I lost these somehow.
I got the master funnel kit from area 419 off a prize table at a 2 day PRS match. I ordered 2 drop tubes to go with it. It was something I always wanted but couldn't justify spending 100 bucks. Now that I have them I don't know how I got by with out them. Buy the master set from area 419. If you run compressed loads, or fill that case full get a drop tube to go with it. You won't be sorry

Hey don't complain! I may have been at the same match and spent the same amount but came in DFL and went home feeling good about the weekend anyway. Better than doing HoneyDo's at home!
If you approach a big match as a 2 day intensive training match, you can't loose. Regardless of you final place.
I've attended every match in Aus. Never won anything, and don't care to. It different when you sponsor events, and sponsor shooters, compared to attending and actually competing. I shoot good enough to stay in top 10, and bad enough to stay out of top 5.
I'm not good, I'm lucky. Also, I think the a419 gear may suit what I'm trying to do. I like the idea of the long drop tube for holding like a shaft also.

Very pleased with the Area 419 master funnel kit. I just completed a reloading session using it.

I just run an MTM with the long drop tube. My dad’s been running an identical one for as long as I can remember. Works good for me.
Using a basic Lyman plastic funnel for over a decade. Some folks just need an excuse to spend money on function that a sheet of paper can do.
I’ve used the saterns and the 419 set. If your only going to ever load one caliber the satern is great. The 419 is better in my opinion and the flexibility to add a drop tubes or a new caliber with is nice. I had 4 satern funnels and sold them off after I moved to the 419.
