I have a Leupold vari-x ii 2-7 from the 50s or 60s and they "zoom" adjustment doesn't move. It hasn't been used in a very long time. I would like to service it without breaking it. What should I do?

Good point. I'll get ahold of them. Thanks!I’d see what Leupold says first, their service department is quite good
I will remove them and see if it budges. Thanks!Take them off.
Does the lifetime warranty include mounting and dismounting into rings? It's a lifetime warranty. Why would anyone try working on it themselves (if they've never worked on riflescopes before). Just send it in for service. You might end up with a new scope if they don't have parts to fix it(assuming you don't void the warranty by trying to fix it yourself. Anyhow, that's my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth....
You should ask more questions about the ringsDoes the lifetime warranty include mounting and dismounting into rings?
How much torque is on the rings, and does Leupold warranty the torque? You should ask more questions about the rings
Well, I know Swaro, Sig, and Vortex does. I would think Leupold would, but I guess I don't know for sure, lol. If the tube isn't damaged I certainly think they would. Definitely worth trying.......right?Does the lifetime warranty include mounting and dismounting into rings?
You think Sig, Swaro, and Vortex is going to come mount your scope in your rings for you for life?Well, I know Swaro, Sig, and Vortex does. I would think Leupold would, but I guess I don't know for sure, lol. If the tube isn't damaged I certainly think they would. Definitely worth trying.......right?
