I have a Leupold vari-x ii 2-7 from the 50s or 60s and they "zoom" adjustment doesn't move. It hasn't been used in a very long time. I would like to service it without breaking it. What should I do?

It's a lifetime warranty. Why would anyone try working on it themselves (if they've never worked on riflescopes before). Just send it in for service. You might end up with a new scope if they don't have parts to fix it(assuming you don't void the warranty by trying to fix it yourself. Anyhow, that's my 2 cents. Take it for what it's worth....

Does the lifetime warranty include mounting and dismounting into rings?

Well, I know Swaro, Sig, and Vortex does. I would think Leupold would, but I guess I don't know for sure, lol. If the tube isn't damaged I certainly think they would. Definitely worth trying.......right?

You think Sig, Swaro, and Vortex is going to come mount your scope in your rings for you for life?
