Appreciate AI answering questions. We all need to understand the chassis market is seing many revisions and new entries....

Now, how about that TANodized colourway?

😁😇🤞

I’ll just keep shooting my obsolete PreProduction/ Early batch ATX’s.
Ain’t that right @SkyScrapin

Can’t be crying about wanting your rifles “early”, only to continue b*ing about accessories not being available; or minor updates to the weapon system…
Awesome you got ATXs.

But what’s early? Lol. They delivered way early of their projected release?, finding their accessory engineers or whoever they are caught by surprise and behind the 8 ball to catch up to the massive amounts of rifles flying out of manufacturing way before the expected date? 😂

The rifles are great I’m sure. I loved my AX and I’m patriently waiting for my ATX. But let’s not bend over backwards to defend this stuff. Not just AI either, a lot of the industry. Excuse/explanation has now prioritized actual product delivery. Not pointing fingers, but we can’t deny the obvious.

One day… @NoLegs24 will cave and sell me a pre prod, republican red, single barrel small batch, slightly abused ATX. That’ll prob be later this year after TT releases their new 3-36

Gen 3 or Version 3 as we call it and Q3/2022. Hoping to ramp up production and improve delivery but Q3 to be on the conservative side.

Ordered Dec 17th. When can I expect it to ship?

@ Tom Irwin, can you comment if the pre-orders are going to be the Gen 1 or Gen 2 / when the model will change over?

The only difference between Gen 1 & 2 is some internal chassis changes to make assembly easier. There is no external change to the chassis.
I cannot answer any questions regarding anyones order.

Picked up my blue from my FFL today. Thanks @Mile High Shooting! Just a quick mock up before dinner. Don’t hate the blue as much in person, but still think it’s going to get cerakoted

I cannot tell you that. We will continue shipping the second production lot in February after we all get back from the Shot Show and I expect that will take us through April.

Ok. Thanks Tom. So I’m looking at Feb-Apr. That’s not too promising but I’ll take what I can get.

So to summarize the differences:

Gen 1- 2 Allen screws per adjustment (cheek piece and LOP)

Gen 2- internal changed to chassis for ease of manufacture. Identical in function and looks to Gen 1.

Gen 3- single screw hole for each adjustment (cheek and LOP). Comes with thumbscrews instead of Allen set screws.

Does that sum it up? I assume the thumb screws can only be used on Gen 3 stocks since they have a single vs. dual screw holes. That’s unfortunate that Gen 1/2 owners can’t really upgrade without buying an entire new stock.

@tomirwin
Since Anschutz will not be distributing the AI/Anschutz atx variant of the chassis in Europe, will it be possible to buy it through the regular AI dealers instead?

The changes are as you state but we will be offering a rear with thumbscrews as an aftermarket accessory. Timescale for delivery is July and you will be able to order in March

Ended up postponing my backorder to get the new Gen 3 stock. Can’t wrap my head around paying 5k waiting half a year and getting something that’s already outdated. Would be awesome if AI did some kind of upgrade program or discount on an AX buttstock or something but that’s wishful thinking.

It’s going to be a pain in the ass when cleaning for sure, but I’ll just do what I do with my Desert tech, take the barrel out to clean it.

Would be nice for AI to offer reduce cost for upgrades too the early adopters.
