Athlon ETR vs Vortex PST II

Looking at these two scopes for use in NRL Hunter competitions and 1000 yard target shooting.

Rifle is a bolt action 6.5CM.

The reviews I’ve read here and elsewhere seem to favor the ETR when price is about equal, but curious if the $370 price difference would sway folks towards the Vortex.

Yes it would, have both and like both. Eyebox on etr is more finnicky than the pst2. Like the locking turrets on the etr vs non on pst2

Is there one you feel is better than the other?

Could've grabbed a new XRS2 for <1100 last year. Suggest some used Japanese glass in the PX.

This. Atleast for the 1,100 for the ETR, for that price I would look for Japanese glass/build.

I've got a PST Gen IIs and have been happy with its performance up to this point. I haven't looked through an Athlon yet, but have been tempted to purchase before due to some awesome reviews.
