Turbo V3

Vudoo and Annie's have what sewn up exactly. What level?
The bulk of the market on this board.

When members here on the hide are spending big money for accurate 22’s they typically gravitate towards vudoo, annschutz, some RimX and a few others (ultimatum) but it would be tough to find a lot of info on this site.

Do you not see my name? I know anything you need to know about a turbo. When
people spend big money on accurate .22s they should look at others than vudoo and rimx. Yes this forum may be dominated by those two but they are far from the most accurate. The most accurate. 22s on the planet as we speak are turbo action guns.

I think there are as many 2500X’s in the winners circle, maybe more.

Lmao outdoor nats and one year doesn't show anything. Let me point out who won the ara aline Larry parsons who broke all ara records for the season. Mike sherill who just won his second indoor nats and holds the indoor nats record shoots a turbo. Chuck Morrell who is by far one of the best shooters of all time shoots a turbo. Tom Wilkinson ,Barry maney, and by the way some of those top shooters have turbos on order being built by Jeff Patterson. You can cherry pick one match but the overall picture says something different.

I have nothing else to say.

You can say whatever you want to. I've shot Jerry's actions before and there are some very good ones out there just like there are some really bad turbos also. What no one talks about is the scores Phil doorman shot a couple of years ago at the barn. The man shot 5 2500s and one 2450 in a 6 card match using a time precision action. That record will stand for a very long time. That gun was built almost 20 yrs ago. This game is all about who has the best barrel and ammo

Actually I didn’t look at your user name at all. Even if I would have, I doubt I would have cared to draw the correlation.

Feel free to enlighten me about your action. There isn’t a whole lot of info on this board about it. Which is what the OP was asking.

About my action? It's not my action I just shoot them. What is it you would like to know about them? as I can do my best to try and answer any questions

the wholethread is about the TurboV3 being more accurate and winning morethan a 2500X or RimX or Vudoo and you then acknowledge what we all know. it's the barrel and ammo that really matter

what one actions provides over another (push feed, CRF, right bolt left port, inlet) is merely how we interact with it
See that's where you are 100% wrong. All these actions have something different they aren't clones of each other. The reason i say ammo and barrel cause I'm not going to get ina debate over ignition and that's where the difference lies. Rimx and vudoo were not designed for br, yes vudoo has a br model is it better than a turbo or 2500x? NO its not. I'm not here to beat down products but if someone ask me about a action I have knowledge about I will share it.

i quoted you remember

but since we started it. who don't people use a vudoo BR or not, or rimx for BR besides user age/knowledge/who switch now after 20 years of using the same action

I'm not going to speak for @ b6graham, but he quoted and bolded your statement saying
"This game is all about who has the best barrel and ammo"

But you also stated in post #22 "I'm not going to get ina debate over ignition and that's where the difference lies"
while telling him he's 100% wrong.

You clearly don't want to debate it, but I'm also curious if you feel the Pin-around-spring Ignition system produces more accurate results than Spring-around-pin?

The Turboaction website doesn't appear to have much information at all about its ignition benefits or functionality.

Has anyone lately bought a new Turbo V3? If so, how does it shoot? Is it smooth to operate? Did you buy a completed rifle?
The Turbo action with its PAS ignition is a proven design that has been winning in remfire benchrest since it was created years ago by the late Flash Ebert. The Diorio V3 is the same action with a few mods. such as 6 oclock ignition and crescent firing pin. I have a complete gun built by Anthony Diorio. v3 action, Turbo aluminum stock , Diorio tuner Bix and Andy trigger. Shilen ratchet. You won't be disappointed with his work. And yes the gun shoots like any other custom benchrest when you find the ammo it likes. As for Vudoo, they are also fine actions. I own one also but they have not proven themselves yet in remfire benchrest.

Aren't there 2 Turbos if my understanding is correc? The old original Turbo, and the current production. The new ones seem to be refined some what from the early models as I never got mine dialed in. (#17 serial number). I always was amazed by a buddy of mine who shot an old single-extractor Annie with an epoxied barrel slip-fit in his action and won more matches than alot of guys ever attended combined.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but the original Turbo was a 2 lug 90 degree bolt. 12 oclock ignition with a chisel tip firing pin. the new Viii Turbo is a 3 lug 60 degree bolt, 6 oclock ignition with a crescent firing pin. Somewhere along the line the origional Turbos could be changed to 6 oclock ignition also but there was never a 3 lug.

I got a gun built by him and I would never recommend him to build a br rig. He can build good actions but he can't build a good gun for crap. I had to send my gun to John langley to have him fix Anthony's mess. The gun has been absolutely amazing since getting it from John.

You are correct flash never made 3 lugs or 6 o'clock firing pin that came later. Through testing they discovered they got a few less fliers with 6 o'clock ignition. So Baitey up in Wilkesboro NC who made the falcon rimfire action, took turbos and made them 6 o'clock ignition for some of the top shooters at the time.

sorry, I wrote in french!!!!!!!

Hello,

Jacques, French shooter

I have a TurboV3 with a shilen trigger Flavio, it's a fentastic machine, with LAPUA M+ this week end two cards at 250 21 flies

I would like to be able to make the same one with a Muller but it seems that there are difficulties at anthony
Sincerely

Bench rest, where the rest is as expensive as the rifle and you just touch the trigger to fire it? Let's see you shoot that with a bag off a tank trap? I find BR to be boring as hell. Maybe when I get old, right now I'd rather sling up and shoot positional. But I'm only 62. :)
