Help me make sense of this

Thanks for the advice everyone. This post comes close to my questions. I was more perplexed that the different powder charges did not more adversely effect the results vertically. I believe I have a fairly good understanding of the reloading process and I try and take my time to perform the...

Help me make sense of this

Spring time is here again, and I want to get a few rounds downrange. First post had to be authorized and wound up on page 3 before due to delay. Where should I start with another round of reloads? Low end to save barrel life, or uper middle? Suggestions welcome.

    match bullets vs. varmint etc.

Thanks for the info all. This Is what I wanted to know about KT. I guess I will have to buy a box or 2 of some other brands/types and just try them. Good to know though that some of the game bullets contain many aspects of the "match" bullets. I had figured as much but just wanted to confirm...

    match bullets vs. varmint etc.

This is kind of a rambling question but hopefully I can get my point across. Are match type bullets more any more or less concentric (jacket/core thickness and uniformity) than other types of bullets (varmint/game/blasting) ? An example of my question would be the Sierra 65gr. SBT at...

Signs of Brass Nearing the End of its Reloading Life?

Take a large paper clip and put a point on one end. Bend that pointed end at a 90 degree angle about 1/4 of an inch from the end. un-fold the paper clip straight and drag the pointed end from the bottom to the mouth of the case inside and you should be able to "feel" or catch the pointed end...

Question about trimming/ trim length of .223

I have always trimmed back to 1.750 when cases reach 1.760. If they are below 1.760 shoot them till they get that long. Get a wilson case gauge and check Your brass. Too short is better than too long ( not by much) and having the neck crimped in the throat. That will cause bad things to...

Help me make sense of this

My recent purchase is a Savage Mod. 12 LRP in .243 win. It was a used rifle, and when i got it i cleaned it thoroughly. I shot a few rounds through it to check function and accuracy. They were right about 3/4 to MOA maybe a bit less. Later on I made a few rounds of reloaded ammo using the...
