I recently purchased an alpine hunter for a Tikka roughtech. The barrel isn’t fully free floated to the action. Is that normal? Should it be fully free floated all the way to the action?

I have what we call a Texas Heeler. Her mom was an Aussie and her dad was a blue heeler. She is wonderful and I believe got the best traits of the two breeds! She hasn't tried to herd my 7 month old son...yet.

I'm new to Tikka and one of the complaints I always saw was the barrel twists being too slow. Is Tikka coming out with faster twist barrels for 2021?

When does Tikka normally release their new products for the year? I think everyone is doing it at their own pace since SHOT was cancelled.

Is there a thread we could start that has all of the new products announced by the industry? Not being a smartbutt but I think this would be helpful.

I checked out the vortex last night actually at my local Cabelas but they do not carry the trijicon at that specific store. I am going to try and find the trijicon to inspect hands-on before pulling the trigger. Thanks for the input!

The price difference is not $700. EuroOptic has the Trijicon for $1,176 and the Vortex for $999. I feel like these scopes are so similar that I should just pick whichever reticle I prefer? I appreciate your input!

Right, according to EuroOptic’s website it is 1-11”. On Sako’s you configure it and it shows 1-10”. Who know!?
