I stand by my suggestion. You can always load .010-.130 deeper but you can't get any closer if your max col is .050 off. Just giving you more seating options.. Not suggesting you have to or should jam the lands in the original post. Just trying to give the most options to have the rifle shoot...

I would set it up so you can jam the rifling .010 with that bullet seated max COL. It will give you more options down the road and not take much if any performance away..

Ordered a Brux 270 rem varmint contour fluted 27" barrel from Brux on 4-18. Got barrel today!!! I am in Wi but come on 4 days to my door. The barrel blank was just drilled when I called on the 18th to order. So Brux rifled, contoured and fluted and delivered barrel in 4 days!!!!

Re: Obermeyer No not different material. You will need a smaller pilot for your reamer so you don't have a sloppy chamber cut..

Re: Custom Action for Hunting Rifle? For a hunting rig I would build off a classic Win M70 standard length for 280ai. The claw and factory trigger are the most reliable around. 3 position safety. Will end up with a classic super reliable bullet proof rig.

Re: Minox 6-30 Great glass but that's where it ends. Rest of scope is Chicom crap(and I'm being nice). Have sent a 1.5-8x32 back 5 times scope was replaced with new each time. Occular piece kept getting loose side to side wouldn't hold zero. Ajustment was mushy on all of them and clicks...

Re: 32MM scopes for hunting with low light? I have a 2-7x33 Leupold LX-R 30mm tube with ill German #4 fire dot reticle and it is outstanding. With the ill reticle and the thick outer crosshairs in the # 4 reticle the only ill part is a dot in the middle of the thin portion of the reticle...

Re: need help with hunting scope Get a rail on it and use 2 scopes. Not gonna find what you want in one scope. A 1.5-6X42 is just about ideal for hunting big game at any reasonable distance.. Then mount a higher powered variable with turrets for everything else. Or comprimise on low end...
