    Southeast PRS

For anyone interested, Palo Alto Rifle and Pistol Club near Donaldsonville, LA is starting to host 22lr PRS style matches on the fourth Sunday of every month this year. At this time, there are 5 stages to shoot. Matches start at 9am with check-in at 7:30am. Last weekend match had 10 guys...

They’re on my radar. I’ve been up there before. Great people. It’s 4 hours from me though. Lot of logistics between work, family, and travel to make those happen. Hoping to make at least one this year.

Love the “if you build it they will come” Mentality. Was feeling that as I made my first post. My excuse has been work & family. I know everyone is juggling those two. And of course $$$. Trying to make time for this because I love it so much. Not just the trigger time, but the comradery is...

    Southeast PRS

That’s fair. I’m using the PRS as an example since it’s the largest organization this side of the Mississippi for long range shooting. It doesn’t have to fit that mold, just wish we had more to offer here. I struggle to find 3 gun matches down here too.

    Southeast PRS

If I had the means, I’d love to build a range, take on the liabilities, and make a place for any and all shooters. This area has a lot of “small” places (fortunately) so we have something. But it’s missing that “main” one. The one that could do it all. As I’ve often said, the lottery is holding...

    Southeast PRS

I've been following PRS since 2013 and competing since 2020. I'm in south Louisiana and its always frustrating to me that I have to drive 4 hours one way to participate in the PRS. As I look at the schedule on the PRS website today, there is NOTHING in Louisiana or even the gulf coast area...

    Garage storage of Powder Dispenser

I’m jelly of your air conditioned setup. The swamp ass is real, but the drive to make small groups is strong.

    Garage storage of Powder Dispenser

I worked in a laboratory for a number of years and never experienced issues with powering on/off. We never ran ours 24/7. Power on at the beginning of the day and the last one there shutsdown. Once calibrated, never any issues. Thanks for sharing!

    Garage storage of Powder Dispenser

Does anyone have any experience with keeping a powder dispenser (RCBS Chargemaster/Matchmaster, auto trickler, etc.) in the garage year round? Did you have any issues? Drift? Shortened life span? I understand storing indoors where temp/humidity is controlled is the best, but that's not an...

Overnight hotel tips when traveling for a match

I get what you're saying. Once your stuff is stolen you're F'd either way. It's all replaceable. My hang up with that logic is that some A-hole could then use my stuff to do evil things. That's something I struggle to be comfortable to the point I would leave my stuff unattended, anywhere...

To 6 gt or not to 6 gt?

Awesome! Really appreciate this info. I’m fluent with discord. Idk why I’m surprised there’s a reloading discord when there’s a discord for pretty much everything, but I am.

To 6 gt or not to 6 gt?

Thanks man! Yeah I follow the logic with the 6 GT vs 6CM/6x47. It'll be a journey, but I'll make it.
