Help me decide 260 Rem or 7mm-08

My Creedmoor has a 1-8" Twist, and I have a 26" varmint contour McGowan barrel on a savage action. I have never resized brass.

Help me decide 260 Rem or 7mm-08

I am a 6.5 Creedmoor guy and love anything .264 caliber, so I would go .260. To me the 7mm-08 is a great hunting round, but the 7mm-08 case in a short action does not seem suited for long high BC 7mm bullets.

    Learned a valuable lesson

I have never used virgin brass, I bought factory ammo, shot it, and then reloaded it. Most of the factory ammo was shot through the factory barrel before I switched out. I would like to get some Nosler 6.5 Creedmoor brass, but I was wondering if I should full length resize before I loaded it...

    Learned a valuable lesson

I am new to reloading, and I am enjoying it. I have a Savage Model 16 in 6.5 Creedmoor, with a 26" McGowan varmint contour barrel. Two weekends ago I did my first OCW with some Norma URP. I had good results (for me at least as I am also new to precision & accurate shooting), but I did pull...

Nobler vs Lapua vs Hornady Brass

Norma is supposed to start making 6.5 Creedmoor brass this year, hopefully soon.

    6.5 Creedmoor

This is the response back from Hornady: You will need to use bushing letter #C which will be within .0035 thousandths.

    Creedmoor build advice

Seeing how you live Iowa, have you checked Piercision Rifles? He took over CSR's muscle breaks when they closed. He is an F-Class shooter.

Actions: Surgeon, Defiant, Badger? Equal in quality?

I thought some of you might find this data interesting (from The Rifleman's Journal): Some of these are single shot only actions, but most make repeaters.

Actions: Surgeon, Defiant, Badger? Equal in quality?

Does anyone use a Shilen Action? It seems to be a Remington and Savage hybrid, using the best aspects of both.

    .260 vrs. 6.5 Creedmoor

I went with the 6.5 Creedmoor based on a lot of what has been said here is this thread and others. I would like to add that Winchester is introducing match ammo with 140 Sierra MatchKings this year. Hopefully brass is soon to follow. Norma plans on making 6.5 Creedmoor brass by April. Really...

    6.5 Creedmoor

Here is the discussion. You might have to be a member of the 6.5 Creedmoor Forum to view it, but it is a free forum with tons of 6.5 Creedmoor info.

    6.5 Creedmoor

On the 6.5 Creedmoor Forum they came to the conclusion that it is Hybrid 100V being loaded into the recent lots of 140 grain A-Max Ammo.
