My Creedmoor has a 1-8" Twist, and I have a 26" varmint contour McGowan barrel on a savage action. I have never resized brass.

I am a 6.5 Creedmoor guy and love anything .264 caliber, so I would go .260. To me the 7mm-08 is a great hunting round, but the 7mm-08 case in a short action does not seem suited for long high BC 7mm bullets.

Seeing how you live Iowa, have you checked Piercision Rifles? He took over CSR's muscle breaks when they closed. He is an F-Class shooter.

I thought some of you might find this data interesting (from The Rifleman's Journal): Some of these are single shot only actions, but most make repeaters.

Does anyone use a Shilen Action? It seems to be a Remington and Savage hybrid, using the best aspects of both.

I went with the 6.5 Creedmoor based on a lot of what has been said here is this thread and others. I would like to add that Winchester is introducing match ammo with 140 Sierra MatchKings this year. Hopefully brass is soon to follow. Norma plans on making 6.5 Creedmoor brass by April. Really...

On the 6.5 Creedmoor Forum they came to the conclusion that it is Hybrid 100V being loaded into the recent lots of 140 grain A-Max Ammo.
