I just got the 12x and so far I like it even though I haven't shot with it yet. Get the 10x or 12x. 10x should be a bit brighter with more forgiving eye box. Whatever you do don't listen to russ10x as everything he said is completely wrong.

I want to do the exact same thing but with MPH and I think both of these would be awesome. I would also REALLY like if the ranging practice tool had a reticle that was actually calibrated correctly. The current one seems to use dots of a .6ish mil diameter when I think they should be .2...
