Low light is the down side to a ffp reticle. You do get used to it but it can be a bit of a pain in the ass. Good luck. I have a couple PSTs and I don't use my illumination even in low light I just don't care for it.

It rests in the bolt groove and has always been correct for me. There is nothing wrong with using a plum bob i just find this way correct and quick.
