Tripod and head for spotting scope

I can confirm that it is 35 inches collapsed (as opposed to folded). The head does not come off too easily. looks like a 3/4 inch or larger nut is holding it on. Not sure this would be the best choice to put in a suitcase, it is about 8 inches in diameter.

Tripod and head for spotting scope

Might be a bit, I am on vacation and will not be home until tomorrow. I also think that the head is removable although I cannot say that I have ever taken it off. Plus mine is over 20 years old. Here is a you tube video with amazon link

Rifle Scopes Arken SH4 4-16x (surprised)

HI Guys: Ok, I am primarily a position shooter and was happy with my Leupold 6.5x20x40 which is the gold standard for my competition. Now that I am on the high side of 60, it is getting difficult to see the black recticle of the Leupold against the black bull of the target during competitions...

Tripod and head for spotting scope

I personally own and use this celestron tripod for spotting scopes, camera's etc. It has its own windage and elevation adjustments as opposed to a ball head or a leveling head. Very stable despite being lightweight. If it is windy out I attach a home made 20 pound weight to the center...

    Michigan shoots

Hey Wizzbang: If you are interested in winter indoor bullseye pistol competitions, I shoot 3 or 4 matches a week. Come summertime that drops down to two or three matches a week. I am located in Pinckney, Michigan. All of my matches are a hour drive or less for me. I also know of quite a...

    red dot on a 22

I do rimfire benchrest competitions. My set up is a Winchester 52c Bull, Leupold 36x scope, and regular old rest with a leather bunny ear rear bag. My kit is considered low dollar when compared to what the other guys are shooting but I am pretty competitive. Not going to tell you what I...

Maggie’s The Woodchuck and Firewood Hoarders Thread

Ok, everyone here seams to be wetting their panties on the Stihl 026. I have a Stihl 029 Farm Boss that quite frankly, impresses me every time I use it and all my buddies are hassling me to borrow it. Had it forever, cuts up four or five full chords of firewood every year. Couple of simple...

    Has anyone ever had…

I would advise against it. I shoot competition and I put a muzzle brake on my competition pistol and it seriously affected the accuracy. Most of my competitions are 50 foot and 25 yards and the more I shot through the compensator, the worst the accuracy got. I also put a muzzle brake on my...

Rifle Scopes Leatherwood Malcom USMC 8 power

Good Morning: Does anyone own a Leatherwood Malcom USMC 8 power external adjustment modern unertl type scope? I am thinking about purchasing one but am concerned as to how easy it is to adjust from various ranges. I own a 16 power unertl on my competition rifle and it does not adjust to...

    Quiet .22 shooting questions

Re: Quiet .22 shooting questions Stevieo: After reading through the whole thread, there are a couple of comments that I have for your consideration. 1) Consider a old tire sound reducer that you shoot through. I had a similar setup and constructed one out of (what else) old tires, cedar...
