    Take nothing for granted.

I have a 308 that shoots really well that for the last two months I've been trying to work up a load using 178 gain A-MAXes. I had it shooting .5 MOA with 43.3 grains of Varget and Nosler brass. I changed to Lapua brass and tried to tweek my load a little and could not find a node anywhere. From...

Can someone smarter than me explain this? 308

Re: Can someone smarter than me explain this? 308 How can I find out which reamer was used on my barrel? I'm getting great accuracy and I'll aways take a extra 90fps.

Can someone smarter than me explain this? 308

OK here's the story. My neighbor and me were out shooting a few rounds down range and checking our speeds with a chrony. I have a 1/10 twist Savage Pecision Carbine 20" and he has a 1/12 twist Remington SPS tactical 20". I had my stand by load of 168gr A-Maxes, 210M Fed's, Nosler brass and 46grs...

168 grain Nosler BT's vs 168 grain Nosler HPBT

Re: 168 grain Nosler BT's vs 168 grain Nosler HPBT Yeah, I was going to do that. The Nosler 6th addition has the same load data for the HPBT and bt's but I'll be sure to look for presure signs.

168 grain Nosler BT's vs 168 grain Nosler HPBT

Hello, I've worked up a good hunting load with the BT's using 46gr of Varget Nosler brass and Federal 210's. I'm shooting 3/4 with this combo out of a Savage Model 10 PC (20"). I was just wondering if using the match bullets would make that much of a difference for punching paper. Anyone ever...

.308, Win brand new brass two types @ Midway? Odd

Re: .308, Win brand new brass two types @ Midway? Odd That couple of orders of Winchester brass I got was pretty crappie. Maybe they got the problem corrected and the coming soon brass will be worth it.

    270 WSM Users....

Re: 270 WSM Users.... The Nosler Accubonds have a higher BC with the 140gr bullets than the 140gr BT's. At .496 it's the same as the 150gr BT's

    Anyone using CFE223 in 308?

Re: Anyone using CFE223 in 308? I've used it with 175 MK's. Great velocity, very temp sensitive though. Be careful above 90 degrees. At that temp I started getting high presure signs about a grain under max load.

168 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips hunting load?

Hello, I have a Savage Precision Carbine in 308. It has a 20" barrel and a 1 in 10 twist. I plan on using 168 grain Nosler BT's to hunt whitetails with this year. Have any of you used these for hunting before? If so, do you have any good load data? I have on hand Varget, CFE 223, Ramshot TAC...

Any *new* modern powders for .308?

Re: Any *new* modern powders for .308? I've had great results with CFE 223. I don't know about the 155s, but 20" Savage 1in10 loves the 175 SMK's with 47.2 grains of powder, CCI BR2, and Nosler brass.

    good load for .308 178 hpbt's with CFE 223?

Re: good load for .308 178 hpbt's with CFE 223? O.K. last post for the CFE 223 for me. I know ya'll are tired of hearing about this stuff, so I'm going to stop posting about it. This was my latest test load. As you can see I had one flyer. With the flyer my group was still under MOA. This is...
