Re: Naked into the wilderness:true preparedness Once upon a time, 30+ years ago, I and 3 other college kids went out on a weekend winter hike. We went out with full backpacks and on early Sunday morning, the weather warmed up to a freezing rain. Rain was in the air, ice was on our packs and...

I have a problem with my Dillon seating die when loading Hornady 68 & 75 grain OTMs over compressed charged of Varget. The seating die is deforming the bullet where it contacts the ogive. I'm sure it's related to the amount of seating pressure needed to compress the powder charge. Surprisingly...

I have a Rem 700 in 300 Win mag that likes these primers. I have a few boxes left, but I want to play with some new loads later this summer. Has anybody seen these on store shelves yet? If not, has anybody found a decent substitute? It's been 20 years since I tried anything else.
Re: Can a Rem 700 .30-06 be converted to .300 Win Mag Being a Lefty, I looked into this 25 years ago. I decided not to open up the bolt face of a LH 30-06 and chose instead to rebarrel a 700LH in 7mm Magnum. Lots less hassle.
