6.5 & 7 SAUM at 2k
What powder in the 7SAUM? I'm running a 28" 8.75t and mine sees pressure with several powders at 2975. Not to mention shoots like crap.- Dshooter

How much freebore is too much?
I agree with above^^^^ I would be very pissed off. If I send you a dummy round or 3, I want it within .005. It can and has been done thousands of times. And his "old" reamer should have the specs on it. Not a very good smith IMHO. I would send it back, make him set it back .100" and re-chamber...- Dshooter

newbie here
Use a Rem700....22-250 would be a great 500yd rifle with heavies. Brass is easy to find and that cartridge is forgiving in the reloading dept. Get yourself an 8 twist or faster barrel with the 70-80gr bullets; it should be a shooter.- Dshooter

Accurate mag or CDI bottom for savage
Hey guys I asked a similar question trying to find out which bottom metal was closest to factory savage. Low and behold it's outsourced to Accurate mag, which I did not know. I have the choate stock for drop mag and what is the final vote? Go CDI or should I put in the accurate mag bottom metal...- Dshooter

They sure do....and it works great in a perfect world as in, the lugs are true to the bolt face and the action face is true to lug. Some people do run a virgin action with aftermarket barrels and some are OCD like myself and have them trued up- Dshooter

Unusual request for a phone consultation
Cat64, silly question but after you FL your cases did you also check your case OAL. Probably need to trim them before trying to chamber, mine all grow after FL sizing. They might be too long- Dshooter
