If you are "smithing" om your savages do check that the bolt abuttments are square and level to the receiver shoulder. My 110 BA was .009" out! Not .0009.... So many broken extractors and bolt locking on starting loads we got it sorted out. Tight match chamber, good headspace, in a 34" long...
The DEF injector problem can be as simple as removing the 2 bolts holding it in the converter and soapy water wiping off the brown turd of crystalized DEF gunk that is built up and interfering with the spray. It makes the DEF consumption go way up and trips the code. The wiring and pressure line...
On this Hawaii fire thing, where was the fire department? Wouldn't they be on the radio screaming for help and to clear the roads? Not one mention of where was the FD.
I am wondering if anyone besides me weight sorts their brass? I sort +- .5 grain. That one thing made the largest improvement in my vertical spread at LR. I just didn't see it mentioned is all. use the outliers for bore foulers or dummy rounds. '06 Winchester brass had some wide variations...
Well, I am grateful for this thread. I have a new Arken 5-25. 1st trip to the range 1st target 1/2mil low. Tore down a couple rounds weighed charges etc. Nothing re zeroed. Now at least I am not crazy. Blue Locktite and I will press on. Damn fine scope otherwise. 34 mils travel and side by side...
