    Questions for those who build guns

    I can tell you that properly bedded rifles with pillars are not temperamental to torque differences. Once the bolt bottoms out there is no more rotation available unless you try to break something.

    Thanks for the comments guys. The VR's that I own have the integrated lug positioned a little differently than found on a Rem 700. Not a big deal when bedding but could be an issue in chassis.     BAT actions are like crack. Once exposed you can never own just one. I'm on my 9th. My 3L is a sweet heart and has been issue free.

    Is my crown ok?

    All I can add is that if I discovered that defect on my crown it would be cleaned up in a hurry. But I use my rifle to compete and can't sleep at night with controllable variables out of line.
