You can ship a long gun yourself in NY. I have used the USPS, UPS, and Fed X too. As awful as the un SAFE Act is, you can still ship long guns yourself.

Just for shits and giggles, I checked the brand new 700P that I have to see if it is affected. Remington says that my rifle is affected. This rifle has a 40X trigger???

Guys, thank you very much for all the input. Now I feel good about this. I am only shooting 1000 yards, so I was never worried about being to dial that and way beyond, just worried that there was an issue with the scope.
