You can ship a long gun yourself in NY. I have used the USPS, UPS, and Fed X too. As awful as the un SAFE Act is, you can still ship long guns yourself.

Just for shits and giggles, I checked the brand new 700P that I have to see if it is affected. Remington says that my rifle is affected. This rifle has a 40X trigger???

Guys, thank you very much for all the input. Now I feel good about this. I am only shooting 1000 yards, so I was never worried about being to dial that and way beyond, just worried that there was an issue with the scope.

Re: CZ 455 Varmint Precision Trainer question I got away with lows on my 452 Varmint. 25 MOA DIP base, 30mm tube, 50mm objective. Still had room for the Butler Creeks too, though not by much. My rings are Burris XTRs. I don't know how the 455 compares to the 452.
