I've been shooting my Q The Fix 6.5cr at 1 mile and 1900 yards recently. The only scope base available from Q is 0moa so I'm using a 15 moa mount for my 34mm scope. With only 59moa up on my scope, I've got to hold between 12-16 moa in the reticle which works and I can get hits 30%-50% of the...
Hit the desert yesterday with my 22” 6.5CR Fix, I was able to get a hit at 1900 yds on my 2nd shot of the day (semi cold bore I guess), using 147 Gr Hornady ELD Match handloads, then practiced at 1760 yds and 1000 yds (18” gong). The wind at my back really helped today
Has anyone added a bolt knob to their bolt handle? I saw way back in this thread one person that added a delrin ball that still fit with the stock folded, looking to add something to mine to help with heavy bolt lift (I only notice it on some heavier loads, no pressure signs on the primers).
I have found that PMAGS are terrible in the Q, feed issues in my 22” 6.5 rifle about 20% of the time. I have tossed the PMAGS and only use Lancer, DPMS steel or Hexmags (.308 Hexmags are only $12-$15 and work 100%). this pic is from shooting in the desert last weekend.
I want to start loading 6.5 Creedmoor, currently loading 9mm and .223 on Lee Pro 1000 progressives (what a pain!). I was planning on Forster Co-Ax press but I just found the Frankfort Arsenal M-Press. Looks like they are similar idea, the Frankfort Arsenal adds a cleaner looking primer tray...
not really, but it does require you to drill a hole for the selector detent spring. The MPA grip does not come with this hole drilled for the spring, took 3 mins to drill a proper hole.
I took my Fix 6.5CM 22 inch barrel to a Precision rifle course last week and shot out to 1000 yards. I was one of a few that completed the “Milk Jug Challenge” which is hitting the milk jug size steel target at 1000 yards, it took me five shots. Used Hornady MATCH ELD 140gr. I also took the fix...
Was able to sight in and shoot my 22” 6.5 Fix for the first time. Super accurate and fed perfectly from 10 round PMAGS, 20 round Hexmags and 20 round DPMS steel mags. Recoil was much lighter than I expected, the bolt is very smooth to run and the gun very quiet. I shot out to 300yds (max...
Any Fix owners have an extra Q Taper Adapter in 5/8-24? They are completely sold out over the entire internet and I have a fix coming to me. I need the adapter to mount my suppressor..
