From the circle, the crosshairs have bold outer posts and then transition to thinner posts. In the center resides a floating dot. I find this makes it real slick and easy to align quickly with a target below 100 yards and makes for precise shots at targets beyond 100 yards. Essentially…once I...
That said I would be remised if I didn’t recommend a cat tail to accompany the scope. The knurled dial is certainly useable on its own, but it is tight. Wet conditions will compound any difficulty to rotate it from 1X to 6X. I personally have little use for the magnification in between. The...
Figured this fine optic deserves a review thread outside of the group buy discussion: Hey everyone, I’ve had this scope for a while now and have spent some quality time behind it. I thought I'd share my thoughts and roll out some discussion points for the collective good. I’m certainly no...
Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more! Here's some testimony to validate the SS' matriculation into society! I'm off to sight her in at 50 because I simply can't wait. I'll reach out to 200 tomorrow. I plan to do a write on it asap and try to capture the good, bad, and ugly...
Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more! I'm waiting for an extended Bobro mount to arrive then it's off to the range with mine. Can't wait.

Re: SWFA SS 1-6X24HD Pics Great write up Jon. I'm a huge fan of the 1-4 SS. Hope to get my hands on one of these and run it around some. Based on your review and I'm inclined think it'll be a real winner. I really like how SWFA evolved the reticle design.
Re: AR10 brakes necessary on a 20" bbl? Sage wisdom all, thanks. I'll check out those electronic muffs and stop sweating the degree to which my guns will destroy my hearing! Good points.
Re: AR10 brakes necessary on a 20" bbl? No doubt. One option I'm considering is doing just that for a 16" upper I own. Not sure I'd ever shoot enough to get overly worried about the increased grime that goes with the suppressor. For hunting, provided I can keep a 20" upper under 10lbs...
Looking for an AR10 upper for target & hunting. While I'm not opposed to compensators, flash suppressors, sound suppressors, golf ball launchers, etc...lol... I'm looking to preserve what little hearing I have left. I'm speculating that a crowned 20" bbl would bark less than a 20" with the...
