I have seen where mole skin or mole pads were used. Does anyone have any experience with this or other materials in the field? I greatly appreciate the information!

Advanced Marksmanship Cheek weld problem throwing groups up and down

Outstanding information! I have seen the foam and tape thing done for cheek weld. How does one build a proper foam/tape on the stock? I am guessing you start with where your facial bones lay against the stock and build up around that to support soft tissue. You might find the spot with some...

    Accuracy, me or the rifle?

I am interested in cheek weld and breathing as well. I recently read "The Ulitmate Sniper" by the famous Col. Plaster. Several photos reveal military snipers wrapping their stocks with mole skin to adjust height and cheek weld. Shooting off sandbags is the 'gold standard' for stability in this...

    Rifle Scopes Minimum focus distance?

Minimum focus distance is specified for most high end scopes. In the case of Vortex Viper PST, FFP scopes, it is 50 yards. I suspect focus issues occur at less than this distance. I am looking for data in the form of groups shot closer than the specified 'minimum focus distance'. What happens...

    TRIPOD vs BENCH REST comparison

Interesting technique with the tripod. I have read discussion in "The Ultimate Sniper" about hanging a sandbag on the tripod and NOT clamping the weapon. There is discussion and photos of tripods and rests fabricated by military snipers. I would like to see some groups before I go purchase $200+...
