    Gunsmithing scope base bedding

Re: scope base bedding I used an aluminum rail, made sure it fit the action with no play, by feel at least. I then coated the bottom of the rail with blue Locktite and torqued the screws. The rail is electrically isolated and bedded but still removable, no?

Gents, While target shooting today my 10/22 failed to eject, I cleared it and it failed again. While clearing it the second time I noticed the extractor claw laying on the bench. The spring was still in the bolt but the extractor plunger was nowhere to be found. I have ordered another but am...

Range Report 338 Lapua 250 gr Mira

Re: 338 Lapua 250 gr Mira Thanks, got them and some 300 gr SMKs as part of a trade mainly for the brass. But... the rifle won't be back from APA until July so getting reloading set up in time for fall hunting is doubtful. The bullets look like the 250 gr gamekings and it is Lapua factory...

    Old 264 WM?

Re: Old 264 WM? Mike Guess I'm spoiled looking at more choices in other calibers ). For instance Berger offers a 130 VLD at .552 BC but no 140 VLD which would an even better BC, right? Bill It's not about the money but the group size, we'll never sell the rifle. My father bought the...

    Old 264 WM?

This old pre 64 model 70 needs some help and is next on the list for upgrading. As a coyote and mule deer gun the 264 caliber has worked well tho' bullets selection and factory ammo choices are more limited than other calibers. As a re-barrel is part of the anticipated project is there a...
