I would look into using stones for moving up through the grits, Geisweinn is my prefered supplier if not that try just putting sandpaper on a block of wood. Keep all the corners sharp. Gunsmithing How to fill sight holes
Re: How to fill sight holes When doing that I like to anneal the screw first and then solder it in. May not be necessary at all but after filing them down you cannot spot them.- JamesOC
