Re: hog loads/bullet preference either would work fine. people kill alot with both calibers, the 223 try to get a good load with the heavier bullets though. hope you have a good trip.

Re: Hunting with earthdogs super cool write up, wife has talked about wanting another smaller dog, might have to try to sneek one of these in. sleeping with a 100# dobe and another big dog would be too much.

Re: my hunting setup, your thoughts if you don't mind I dont see anything wrong with it. You wont have the most nock down with the 243, but ive seen and killed alot with smaller. As long as your comfortable with it then go with it.

Re: Am I normal Doctor? love guns but don't hunt I dont see any problems with it. Hell by the time you spend the money on the guns you want, it can make it hard to be able to afford to go on hunts. I just like to eat the fresh wild meat taste too much.

Re: I Can't Take It Anymore!!! i would have to agree with the red wings. Alot of the red wings seem to hold up alot better then most other brands. I would only wear then while i was in the oil field.
