I shoot a 700 VTR in .308. One of the ones that love it. I use 45 grains of Varget in Remington cases, with Hornady match 168 gr. bullets. Loaded to an OAL of 2.810. I do have it mounted in a B&C A2 stock. I did work up to that load. Good luck, Joe

Sentry1, your brass should be clean on the outside so as to not scratch your dies or dent your brass. I was looking to make mine pretty after they go through the dies. Joe

I was looking at a Millett to put on top of a .308 VTR that I have. Long story short, I when with the SWFA SS 20X42 fixed power scope. A little back ground on my type of shooting. I hunt the killer paper target. That's it. The longest that I shoot is 200 yards. I just can't find a longer range...

Roggom what you say makes sense. Both guns are shot off of a bench and I know I'm not getting the same tension on the bipod each time. I'll have to try both from a mat. Thanks, Joe

I may be wrong but I've noticed that different guns like different rests. I attached a bipod on a 24" full floating, heavy bull barreled AR and it shot "ok". folded the bipod and shot the gun off of a bag and the groups got tighter. A 700 Remington that I shoot is completely different. It shoots...
