I'm wanting to buy/modify/build an ultralight 7-08 with a threaded 18" barrel. I'll be hanging a thunderbeast ultra 7 can on it. I'd really like a kimber Adirondack, but they're too rare and expensive. Kicking around buying a savage lightweight storm, chopping 2", and putting a MPI stock on it...
I'm trying to balance out a bolt gun after putting a can on it. I've read about mixing lead shot with marine-tex and putting it inside the stock. What's the best way to go about this? Just take the recoil pad off and start globbing it in there? It's a carbon fiber kimber stock.
Gotcha. The only thing I'm concerned about is cycling the light subsonic shells with the m2. I'm probably going to go with 14", and the new JK shotgun can. Have you tried those lightweight federal top gun subsonic shells in your m2 SBS setup?
This is an oddball question. But does anyone have any experience with suppressing short barreled semi auto shotguns? I'm wanting to get one of the new JK 195 shotgun cans. Gas operated or inertia? Any suggestions on a host? Thanks
I've never build a bolt gun, plenty of ARs though. I was wanting to put together a 7 PRC that weighs about 7 pounds, maybe a shade under. I was think an origin action and a proof barrel. Can't really decide between 22" and 24". Any suggestions on stocks? What about bottom metal, is there a way...
Weight wise, I'm wanting 12 oz or less. Full auto rated, I won't be doing any full auto mag dumps, but I'd like to be able to use it hard on semi auto for 3 mags straight before I have to worry about damage.
