    Re: Who is the Hide's Savage barrel goto guy Yes, Jim Briggs @ NSS is the best resource for Savage barrels. I have a Shilen .308 barrel, and a CBI .260 barrel in my rifles. Great service, but he can be hard to reach by phone.

    Re: Best factory .260 available I like the 12LRP over the Predator Max. Yes, it weighs more, but that's not just because of barrel contour. It's has the HS Precison Fiberglass stock rather than the flimsy Savage synthetic stock and it has the beefier target action.
