Rifle Scopes 4-16 or 6-24 Vortex Viper PST

Re: 4-16 or 6-24 Vortex Viper PST I have the 4-16 on my competition .308...used it with great success from 17 to 1100 yards. I have never felt like I was under magnified and have milled a target past 600 yards and was told I was within 5 yards of the lasered distance. I would say save the...

Rifle Scopes Can't decide on which SS

Re: Can't decide on which SS I have shot to 1K with the SS 3-9, it really is a great optic. I have a pair of the new fixed 10x SS and they are excellent as well. That said, if economy is your primary concern and your set on mounting THIS optic on a .22 trainer next year then the SS fixed 6...

    Loads for Semi-Auto 308

Re: Loads for Semi-Auto 308 LongArm, I mic'd the C Product's at 2.89 with maybe a little more change, I'm loading at 2.8525 +/- and like I said, it just fits but has full function. Also, the VLD's are the shortest of the 185 class so those are the only ones I could see fitting, by the...

Looking for match close to KY

Re: Looking for match close to KY Keep an eye on the members link up threads, there is a good sized group that makes several trips throughout the year to Rockcastle. It's a good weekend trip, especially coming from Pottsville. I'm originally from Lone Oak, so I know right where you are. Jason

    Sidearms & Scatterguns All-around 9mm Handgun

Re: All-around 9mm Handgun Another vote for the Glock 19, it is the best compromise I have found for what you list above. Small enough for CC on a daily basis, big enough to shoot thousands of rounds through comfortably, range time is also important. And, with just a little looking, you can...

    Freeze dried food

Re: Freeze dried food Makes their own freeze dried food? Please share the how, the only answer I have been able to find is a $5-8K lyophylizer on ebay and the freight would suck on something that big. Thanks

Photos New SSA 168grn Napalm rounds

Re: New SSA 168grn Napalm rounds SSA's ammo does have the damnedest muzzle blast of anything I have ever shot. Fist time I shot my .308 AR was at a tube range and one of my test loads was from SSA. I thought my rifle had went grenade until I realized it was the tube kicking some of the flash...

    AR10 barrel length ?

Re: AR10 barrel length ? Another vote for a mid weight contoured, 18 inch tube on a .308 gas gun. Mine has been to 1000 yards, though some optics mount in 20 MOA flavor will be benificial if not necessary.

Re: 7mm SAUM with 180 VLD on short action?? Miles, I appreciate the info, it will help a lot. I imagine the 168 Berger/JLK offerings will be about as SA friendly as the Amax's. Jason
