Rifle Scopes 20 MOA base with 50 MOA scope

You wont do any damage, unless you are bottoming out and forcing it. Being that far off-center simply puts the optics into a position where you won't get optimal clarity. You may not even notice. When you shoot long and adjust elevation, you will be moving into the optimal alignment for clarity...

    Rifle Scopes Need magnification advise

2.5-10 Parallax error will be minimal, especially if the objective is 32mm. Maximum error at 600 yards, assuming parallax is fixed at 100 yards, would be approximately 80mm or 3.1". That's if your eye is off center to the edge. In reality, your error is likely to be within an inch. With a 24mm...

Rifle Scopes Belgium Browning BAR 30-06…What glass?

I see no need for target turrets, high magnification or the weight that comes with those things. A Swaro Z3 3-9x36 or Z3 3-10x42 would be perfect. I'd probably put a Swaro Z6i 1-6x24 on it, but that's above your budget. Keep the Weaver bases. If you get the Z3, it's got a 1" tube, so you could...

    Rifle Scopes hunting scope wanted

I just went through this process, and I bought a Leica 2.5-10x42 ER with mil-based ballistic reticle. Initially, I thought I'd use my USO 1.8-10x44 or Hensoldt 3-12x56 that are currently not mounted. After giving everything a lot of thought, I determined: 1. My precision long-range scopes are...

    Rifle Scopes Spuhr leveling system?

Not a fan of the wedge thingy. I prefer to mount the base, use the built-in level to get, and then adjust the reticle to be aligned with a plumb line or edge of building at 50-100 yards, then tighten rings. This way, the reticle is always calibrated to the built-in level. Suggestion for Hakan...

    Belt + Holster Opinions

Or this. I run this setup for classes. Also it's nice because you can just throw it over whatever you're wearing. Downside, it's a bit hot in warm weather and a little cumbersome for competition. The Tacos are a royal PITA to get on, but are nice because they'll take different sized mags. You...

    Belt + Holster Opinions

For straight comp, I'd look at the Safariland ELS system. For a comp/training combo rig, I'd get a stiff 1.75 instructors belt and a Safariland ALS holster (Automatic Locking System). You can adjust the cant so that the muzzle rakes very slightly forward (opposite of typical CCW holsters). This...

New guy looking for Sling input....

Tab Gear (already mentioned) or Armageddon Gear precision rifle sling Precision Rifle Sling. Both have a quick cuff. I like the Turner National Match leather sling, but it's cumbersome for making quick adjustments.

    Rear bag suggestions

Ditto - LARGE wedge for f-class. Very stable and still provides adjustment and portability. That's my go to bag if shooting from a bench with a front rest. Edited: to disclose my lack of knowledge about f-class!

Rifle Scopes Hi I'm sulcop and I am an optics junkie...

I'm with you bro. Optics are my heroin. I've got three acogs I don't use just because they're so cool and fun to look through. I love my Swarovski binocs. Just sold a SB 3-20 to get a second hensoldt 4-16. Anything precision optical I love. And leica cameras.

Rifle Scopes Rings vs integreal mount; pros and cons of each?

I've got both Near Alpha and Spuhr. Both are very nice. The near is lower but the lowest spuhr is not much higher. I wouldn't go higher than that unless it's on a chassis with long top rail where you need the clearance. The main advantage to a unimount is that they are machined aligned and...

Rifle Scopes Hensoldt vs. Schmidt revisited

I was being facetious. I can't justify the price difference and really see no need for the higher magnification. 4-16 is perfect. The 20X on my Schmidt comes in handy for some viewing or milling purposes, but not for shooting, unless it's from the bench.

Rifle Scopes 1-6x Optic for 3gun

Ditto. FFP on precision rifle, SFP on 3-gun. I run a Swaro Gen 2 1-6x for 3-gun. I haven't looked through anything else that sways me away. Dot is perfect for CQB blasting, and holdovers using the reticle aren't an issue until 300+, at which point I want the full 6x. Then, since the holdovers...

    KAC SR25 ECC/Feed Issue

Did you ever get it figured out? I have an ECC and have had zero issues. I've got three SR-15s and did have issues with one failing to feed, but different than yours. Was taking a class from two very experienced and knowledgeable instructors and an armorer who all agreed there was a problem...
