Re: Failure to feed I have an older Colt Sporter II in .556 that I "upgraded". Got the DD Big Hole flat top upper receiver (what was Colt thinking with the large hole receivers?) and have had feeding issues using the old mags. The mags don't seem to seat properly....as if the receiver is too...
Re: OBR 18.... SHE CAN SHOOT +1 on the 18" OBR. Fine rifle. I never had a problem with the cheek weld on the CTR with RISR. I do like the 20 moa on the rail.
Re: 50cal CQB?!!!!! I have never thought of a .50 as a CQB weapon. It's heavy and the ammo is heavy. For engagements out to a max of 200 meters why bother?
Re: Which 308 gas gun? Any of the weapons systems you have mentioned are top notch. Try to handle each before you buy and see what fits you. My personal choice was and remains the OBR. Schweeeeeet!

Re: What 45 to buy???? I've had a Colt 1911 for over 15 years now. It shoots after being drug through the mud and sand and can print a smiley face at 50 yards. The .45 is an excellent stopper. I hear they are much more expensive than when I bought mine but to me they are the tool of choice.
