I am loading 6.5 cm. No issue to speak of with my load but in the interest of always learning and bettering myself: Lapua Virgin brass. I do run through a resize (hornandy die, that I'd like to replace soon) and then trim and chamfer. I then run them though a lyman m die. I find that seat...
That's always been my opinion. Seamed like having to deal with rezeroing and the bs associate with swapping calibers and loading another cartridge, seams like the benefits start getting outweighed
I appreciate the advice. I'll take it under advisement, but I shoot alot or rimfire prs currently. Assuming alot of thr skills translate over, the skill I feel I will most likely need to learn/enhance will be recoil management, finding trace etc etc. I presume those specific skills along with...
I never thought about that. I assume if u run a 6cm at 2950 which is close to gt and dasher speeds is it accurate to say that barrel life will be the same? I suppose to objective here is that I assume 6cm brass will be more widely available
Want to start shooting centerfire prs. Thought I wanted a dasher since they seam to he popular but heard there are issue with them feeding. 6 cm barrel life kind of scares me especially for just entering into centerfire I'll need to practice alot Things that im.looking for are respectable...
I'm attempting to improve on my precision reloading process. Loading using Hornady dies. I would like to move to a micrometer seating die. But then I found out that Hornady sells the micrometer adjustment add on. I know Hornady dies are not top of the pile for quality. Is it worth investing...
An annealler is on my list as well. I feel like there is still alot more accuracy that can be gained just learning where to shave off the fat is all. My goal is an avg group of .3" with an ideal great day group around .2. I understand that is pushing the limits of all equipment, and myself as...
I am getting more into precision reloading. I have mostly all lower end equipment. I am asking what one single peice of equipment or tool if replaced will yield me the best results. Loading 6.5 creedmoor 140gr with h4150 Best group as per my development has been .4" Using: Hornady brass...
I am trying to develop a load for my 6.5 cm Using Eric cortina method from yt. I prepped a case and seated a projectile very long. Applied some lube and loaded it into chamber to find jam length Results where 2.276 cbto Using a hornady oal Guage and thr modified case I pushed as hard as I...
Sold my sig cross today. Looking to build something to replace it. Starting with a 700 sa. Can you suggest a light weight chassis to build on. Ideally have an light weight folding stock. Throw me your options. I haven't fully decided on what barrel options I will choose but I'm leaning...
Getting into long range precision reloading. Not a tremendous amount of experience with the precision stuff My first batch of 6.5 have a small bell at the bottom of the 20 deg shoulder, that appeared during seating I resized and decapped using standard hornady dies. Trimmed, deburred, and...
