Re: Mosine carbine, optics mounting info the option i went with is i removed the rear sight base it was only held on with 2 pins it wasn't soldered but some are and then i used scope rings for a 22 that are meant to go on a 3/8" dove tail no need for an actual scope mount i personally chose...

Re: 7.62x54R cheap shooter I run a .311 sierra matchking with 42.5 gr of ramshot tac seems to be ok so far but i havn't taken it out to any real distance yet

Re: Mosin Nagant trigger modification ? I've toyed with shims didnt like the idea the more i thought about it bending the sear did change it a little i'v stolen the set screw idea tried this and that and i have come to the conclusion the next 100 bucks i have squirreled away is going to buy...

Re: my first custom mosin/nagant - I love all of the mosin's so far. I wish I had that kind of budget for my project, my 91/30 has had a little work done but nothing like this i'v glass bedded the action and hand lapped the bore to try and even it out a little there were some pretty nasty...
