Re: Droid "Shooter" ballistic program I just got a Droid today, and so far I'm impressed with it. I've just began looking at the shooter program and it looks good so far. Let us know when to update it. Thanks for the app. As a side note the tether program lets you connect to the internet...
Re: Trijicon ACOG Reticles It is the same. It is fast acquisition combat scope, not a precision group shooting scope. At the ranges it is used for in most 3 gun matches,<300 yards, I just put the doughnut on the target and roll.
Re: Trijicon ACOG Reticles On the TA11, the circle one, you zero at 100 yards with the top of the reticle as the point of aim, the center is 200, the bottom of the reticle is 300, and each hash mark is an additional 100 yards. I love the scope, it is the fastest scope I have seen yet for 3-gun.

Re: About to buy reloading equipment... The Forster Co-Ax is hard to beat. I like the Harrell's precision turret press for load development at the range. My 650 can't crank out ammo as precise as either of the above, but it can put out a hell of a lot more. +1 on the reading and buying good...
Re: Thoughts on JP rifles please A JP with a ACOG TA11 is the hot ticket for 3-gun. I've got one and it's my favorite AR. I love the adjustable gas system on it, you can dial it down to almost no recoil. I never liked the ACOG until I shot one, now I understand why it is the favorite optic...
Re: A which rifle question I have a TRG 22 and love it, but I would go for the GAP as it is the best value. I bet the 1911 is a IPSC open gun from someone like Brazos.
Re: I know this is a rifle forum but.... VV 3N37 is used for open guns. It is a slow powder and makes a lot of gas for the comp. For a .40 S&W you want a fast powder which will give less recoil. What power factor are you loading for? Be careful if you try VV310 or clays, both are extremly...
Re: I know this is a rifle forum but.... In USPSA / IPSC VV320 is the most popular powder, and it is the cleanest powder I've ever used. Titegroup and WST are also clean burning popular powders. For everthing you want to know about reloading (and technique)for compition pistol look at Brian...
