Danco summed it up in a nutshell, my exact experience with the exception of duracoat which I never tried.

Or if you are too hard the difference is hard to tell also. For a hard use gun, Cerakote a light color and krylon on top.

Cerakote is stronger = better, also the search button will give you the details as there are many threads on the subject here.

Portland usually has a sniper match once a year. Been years since I went but you should be able to find it on google. It was held at a rock quarry behind one of the clubs up there. Was a good match.

Re: IDPA Match Work on speed reloads and dryfire. Matches are nothing more than drills that someone else setup and will show you were you are lacking. It's got nothing to do with tactics but will make you a better shooter. IPSC will give you more of the same though, so I'd recommend it over...

Re: Question for you blackout shooters..... Most carbine gassed rifles don't shoot subs without the can. If you are planning to shoot subs with / without a can, get a pistol gas ported barrel. I built mine with a pistol port as I run 220SMK 99% of the time suppressed, but it will cycle them...
