    223 Ackley Improved

Kadams1563, sorry I am late to this show, as you have probably solved your problem. But I had the exact same results in my CDG, 223AI. I had to have a local smith shave a few thousands (sorry I don't recall how many) off the bottom of my Redding bushing die to get it to bump the shoulders. My...

    **6 Creedmoor**

Dogtown, this is very similar to the results I get using 41.0 grains of N555 with Berger 109 LRHT bullets. Very low SD and 1/2 MOA accuracy. Out of my 26" X-Caliber barrel, I get 2963 fps, using Peterson LRP brass and Federal 210M primers. I initially wanted to push it harder, but I agree with...

    Good Range Bag Recommendation?

I can strongly recommend Adventure tool company bags and gear. I own several of their well made products and I am very happy with all of them. Plus there made in Colorado. I am not affiliated with them in any way, just a long time happy customer. Their products are well designed and very well...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I've shot a couple hundred 223 rounds thru my CDG using an Accurate mag. All have fed smooth, fast or slow, no problems at all. My rifle is chambered in 223AI and these were fire forming loads. You are correct, 223AI rounds have to be fed fast in order to chamber. At least for me...

    223 Ackley Improved

I look forward to hearing how these preform for you. I agree, if they shoot 'pretty good' they will be worth it to me... cheap trigger time ;)

    223 Ackley Improved

Thanks for the insight. I don't compete other than against myself. I just shoot for fun and relaxation. PVA osprey barrel with 100 freebore. During fire forming I shot 1 of the my best groups to date. So that has me hopeful that this barrel will like this bullet / powder combo.

    223 Ackley Improved

I just finished 'building' a 223ai and have started fire forming some old LC 05 brass I've had around for years. The purpose of this gun is to be a 'fun gun' that is (relatively) cheap to shot, compared to my 6.5 CM. I have read through this entire thread and see no mention of anyone shooting...

Yes. I don't remember the specs tho. I spoke with Brandon on the phone and told him my intended use and he said they would make a barrel that shot those well😉.

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I ordered and received one from Mike Lucas. I have several of his bore guides. Very good quality and machining. You can search him on Accurate Shooter forum. Or PM for his email. (He does not have a website) I should add. I can't verify fit, cause I haven't received my action yet. But I assume...

    Steiner T6xi

Rob, Thanks for the update and the info. So you're saying I should try to find a good deal on an Arken SH4...lol I am leaning towards the Steiner for a couple of reasons. I like that it is made in the USA. My first 'high end' scope was a used T5xi 5-25x56 I bought off the PX. I sold that...
